| The Norwegian Chiropractic Association welcomes chiropractors and other health professionals worldwide to our 75th Anniversary International Conference and Scientific Symposium “New Insights into the Autonomic Nervous System”. From the very early days of chiropractic, a wide range of clinical phenomena associated with chiropractic treatment have been assigned to the autonomic nervous system. This in turn, has given rise to an ongoing debate with respect to scope of practice both within, and outside the chiropractic profession. This conference will address this debate by bringing forward the latest advances in the understanding of the autonomic nervous system in health and disease, and explore the effects and mechanisms of manual therapies on the autonomic nervous system and non-musculoskeletal disorders. Among our keynote speakers you will find the foremost researchers in the field, covering different aspects of autonomic function and dysfunction with its broad and fundamental implications for our understanding of human physiology and health care. The Scientific Symposium will be arranged in cooperation with the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics and there will be awards for the best research papers. Please see our “Call for Papers” with deadline for submission 31st May. Take this rare opportunity and join us in reviewing the current evidence, and participate in sharing research and new hypotheses that will challenge, and might even change old paradigms through new insights into the autonomic nervous system!
